As with any legal system, there are always laws that are considered outdated or unjust. In the United States, there are several laws that many people believe should be changed to better reflect modern society and the needs of its citizens.

This discrepancy creates confusion for businesses and individuals who may be legally using marijuana in their state but still face federal prosecution. Many believe that it is time for the federal government to either legalize marijuana or at least reschedule it to reflect its medical benefits and low potential for harm.
- Criminal Justice System – The criminal justice system in the United States is often criticized for being overly punitive, particularly towards marginalized communities. Many believe that it is time to overhaul the system to focus on rehabilitation rather than punishment. This would involve changing sentencing guidelines, reducing mandatory minimum sentences, and investing in programs that help people successfully reintegrate into society after serving their sentence.
- Gun Control – Gun violence is a major issue in the United States, and many believe that it is time for the government to take action to address it. This could involve instituting universal background checks, banning assault weapons, and implementing red flag laws that allow law enforcement to temporarily seize firearms from individuals who pose a risk to themselves or others.

Additionally, these bills are often based on unfounded fears about the safety of cisgender individuals in restrooms with transgender individuals, despite there being no evidence to support these concerns. The passage of such laws perpetuates harmful stereotypes and prejudices against the LGBTQ community and ultimately contributes to their continued marginalization and discrimination.
- Healthcare – Healthcare is a complex issue in the United States, and many believe that the current system is inadequate for providing affordable and accessible healthcare to all Americans. Some believe that a single-payer system would be more effective at providing universal coverage, while others advocate for incremental changes to the existing system.
